HOW TO CALCULATE THE DENSITY OF A PRISM

Materials:

1.     Prism figure

2.     Scale

3.     Ruler

Procedure

With the scale we measure the mass of the prism.

With the ruler we measure the length, width amd height of the figure.

After measuring we multiply the length by width by height to calculate de volume

Finally we measure the density dividing mass by volume.

Analysis of the results

Mass: 200g

Volume: W · L · H = 2 · 2 · 7 = 28 cm³

Density: 200 : 28 =7,14 cm³ = 7,1 · 1000 Kg/m³

7,1 g/cm3 = 7,1 · 1000 Kg/cm³
