IRELAND


  • It has two parts Ireland and Northern Ireland
  • Their capital cities are  Dublin (Ireland) and Belfast (Northern Ireland)
  •  Population: 6.4 million, of which 4.6 million live in Ireland and 1.8 million live in Northern                Ireland.
  •      Ireland has many world-famous sites, including The Giant's Causeway and the Titanic shipyard,the cliffs of Moher and Trinity College library in Dublin.
  • Dublin is the home of Rivedance, a popular dance show which tells the story of ireland and its people,
  • Irish folk songs tell stories about people's everyday lives
  • At Blarney Castle near Cork, there is an old stone in the tower. According to the legend, it has magic powers.
  • Today people believe that kissing the Blarney Stone will give them the gift of speech.
